We are members of the Congregation of Regular Franciscan Tertiary Sisters, part of the Third Order of St. Francis of Assisi. Our congregation was founded in 1711 at Ognissanti in Florence, Italy. Over the years, we have expanded our mission, establishing new communities in Kerala, India, in 1976, Brazil in 1991, and Africa in 2010. Today, we serve in various states across India, including Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh.Penance is our distinctive charism, understood as a call to continuous conversion. Our apostolate involves participating in the mission of the Church through various means such as moral, intellectual, and religious education, pastoral work in parishes, care for the sick and elderly, and other charitable activities. On June 6, 2000, we opened a new community in Sullia. The house was blessed by Fr. Elias, and Sr. Betty, Sr. Grace, and Sr. Nirmala were the pioneering sisters. On June 5, 2000, the primary school was blessed by Fr. Stany Lobo, the vicar, with classes for LKG, UKG, and Grade 1. In 2002, we laid the foundation for a new convent, and on October 15, the house was blessed by Most Rev. Dr. Aloysius P. D’Souza. Our education ministry here is carried out in the true Franciscan spirit, responding to the concrete needs of society and the possibilities of our institute.
